VW Irs axle set

Sway-A-Way VW axles are designed with high performance in mind. The spline diameters are maximized to increase face contact area, thus reducing wear between the CV center and the axle. The 33 tooth spline outside diameter is 1.062 and is 2 3/8″ long. It fits the Type 1, Type 2 and the Type 3 VW CV joints. The spline is longer than the stock axle eliminating the inboard shoulder so that the CV “floats” on the axle helping to prevent cage breakage. Spirol Lock circlips are included for the outboard end of the axles to keep the CV on.

Manufactured from solid alloy steel
Heat treated for increased strength
Centerless ground for consistent outside diameter and rate
Powder coated to resist corrosion
