⚠️ Critical Fitment Exceptions
Even if your car falls into the year ranges above, you must ensure it does not fall under these exceptions:
❌ Super Beetles: This part will not fit any year of the VW Super Beetle (1302 or 1303 models from 1971–1979). Super Beetles utilize a MacPherson strut front suspension with coil springs rather than a traditional torsion leaf beam.
❌ Pre-1966 Models: It will not fit 1965 or older Beetles and Ghias. Those earlier vehicles use a "King & Link Pin" front end, which requires shorter, differently stacked torsion leaves.
❌ Narrowed or Widened Beams: The length of $37\ 3/8''$ is the standard factory width. If your car has been modified with a custom narrowed beam (common for lowering cars to tuck the wheels) or a widened off-road beam, standard leaves will not fit. [3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10]
