Torsion Bar - Sprint Car - 30" Long - Tubular - .925 Rate - Right Front or Left Rear
Performance & Fitment
Application: Sprint Car (Winged or Non-Wing)
Position: Right Front (RF) or Left Rear (LR)
Rate: 0.925
Diameter: 0.925”
Length: 30”
Construction: Tubular (Hollow). Removing the dead weight of the center core allows the suspension to react more rapidly to ruts and surface changes, keeping the tire contact patch more consistent than a solid bar.
Tuning Profile: * As a Left Rear bar: The 0.925" tubular is a "workhorse" rate for medium-to-slick conditions. It provides enough resistance to prevent over-rotation while maintaining the compliance needed to "hook up" on corner exit.
As a Right Front bar: It serves as a firm foundation to control front-end roll, helping to maintain aerodynamic wing angle and steering precision on high-speed circuits.
Material: Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel, through-hardened for maximum torsional resilience and fatigue resistance.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to ensure a perfectly consistent outside diameter. This precision is vital for maintaining a repeatable spring rate throughout the bar's life.
Heat Treatment: Advanced heat-treating process maximizes "memory" retention, ensuring the bar returns to its original index and resists sagging during long features.
Finish: Precision-machined splines ensure a zero-play interface with your torsion arms and stops for immediate chassis feedback.
❌ Length Verification: This is a 30" tip-to-tip bar. Many standard Sprint Car chassis utilize 29" bars. Ensure your torsion tubes and arm spacing are designed for the 30" length before installation.
❌ Rate Comparison: Remember that a 0.925" tubular bar is softer than a 0.925" solid bar. If you are switching construction types, consult a rate chart to ensure you aren't straying too far from your intended wheel rate.
❌ Internal Maintenance: Moisture inside hollow bars can cause internal corrosion, leading to stress fractures. It is highly recommended to keep the internal bore clean and lightly oiled to prevent sudden fatigue failure.
❌ Tube Clearance: Ensure your chassis torsion tubes are straight and free of debris. Any internal binding at this diameter will "lock" the suspension, resulting in erratic handling.
- ❌ Directional Indexing: Because this bar is indexed specifically for the Right Front or Left Rear, it is critical to install it on the correct side of the car. Installing a directional bar on the "wrong" side (LF/RR) will cause it to lose its rate and sag almost immediately.
