Torsion Bar - Sprint Car - 30" Long - Tubular - .925 Rate - Left Front or Right Rear
Performance & Fitment
Application: Sprint Car (Winged or Non-Wing)
Position: Left Front (LF) or Right Rear (RR)
Rate: 0.925
Diameter: 0.925”
Length: 30”
Construction: Tubular (Hollow). By removing the inactive center material, this design reduces unsprung weight. This allows the tires to follow track undulations more effectively than a heavier solid bar of the same rate.
Tuning Profile: * As a Right Rear bar: The 0.925" tubular is an excellent "medium-track" choice. it provides the side-bite needed for tacky conditions while remaining compliant enough to handle late-race ruts.
As a Left Front bar: This is a firm option used to keep the nose flat and maintain optimal wing aero-efficiency on high-speed half-miles.
Material: Crafted from high-strength alloy steel, through-hardened for maximum torsional resilience and a long fatigue life.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to maintain strict diameter and wall-thickness tolerances, ensuring your spring rate is consistent every time you pull a new bar from the rack.
Heat Treatment: Advanced heat-treating maximizes "memory" retention, preventing the bar from sagging or "taking a set" during a grueling A-main.
Finish: Precision-machined splines ensure a tight, no-slop interface with your torsion arms and stops for instant chassis response.
❌ Length Verification: This is a 30" tip-to-tip bar. Ensure your chassis is designed for 30" bars; many standard Sprint Car chassis utilize 29" bars. Installing a 30" bar in a 29" tube will result in insufficient spline engagement.
❌ Rate Differentiation: A 0.925" tubular bar is significantly softer than a 0.925" solid bar. Always refer to a torsion bar rate chart when switching construction types to ensure your wheel rate remains within your intended window.
❌ Internal Bore Care: Tubular bars are hollow; moisture trapped inside can lead to internal rust and stress fractures. To prevent sudden failure, keep the internal bore clean and lightly lubricated.
❌ Torsion Tube Binding: Ensure your chassis torsion tubes are perfectly straight and free of debris. At 0.925", any internal contact will "lock" the suspension, leading to a dangerously erratic handling car that skips across the track surface.
- ❌ Directional Indexing: This bar is indexed specifically for the Left Front or Right Rear. Installing it on the "wrong" side (RF/LR) will cause the bar to yield (sag) almost immediately as it would be twisting against its intended grain.
