Torsion Bar - Sprint Car - 30" Long - Tubular - .900 Rate - Left Front Or Right Rear
Performance & Fitment
Application: Sprint Car (Winged or Non-Wing)
Position: Left Front (LF) or Right Rear (RR)
Rate: 0.900
Diameter: 0.900”
Length: 30”
Construction: Tubular (Hollow). By removing the inactive center material, this bar offers an optimized strength-to-weight ratio. This allows the suspension to react faster to track imperfections compared to a solid bar of the same rate.
Tuning Profile: * As a Right Rear bar: The 0.900" tubular is a popular "slick-track" or "dry-slick" option, providing enough compliance to find traction when the track surface loses its bite.
As a Left Front bar: It serves as a standard-to-firm option to help control front-end dive and maintain wing angle on high-speed half-miles.
Material: Manufactured from high-strength, heat-treated aircraft-grade alloy steel for maximum durability and torsional resilience.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to maintain strict diameter tolerances, ensuring a consistent and repeatable spring rate across every bar in your rack.
Heat Treatment: Advanced through-hardening optimizes "memory" retention, preventing the bar from sagging or losing its index during long features.
Finish: Durable powder coating provides a barrier against the abrasive and corrosive nature of dirt racing environments.
❌ Length Check: This is a 30" tip-to-tip bar. Ensure your chassis is designed for 30" bars; many older or standard Sprint Car chassis utilize 29" bars, while some specialized designs require 31".
❌ Rate Comparison: A 0.900" tubular bar is significantly softer than a 0.900" solid bar. When making setup changes, always refer to a rate chart to verify your intended wheel rate adjustment.
❌ Internal Maintenance: Hollow bars are susceptible to internal corrosion from moisture trapped inside the bore. Periodically clean and lightly oil the interior to prevent rust-induced stress fractures and sudden failure.
❌ Torsion Tube Clearance: Ensure your chassis torsion tubes are perfectly straight and free of debris. Any internal binding will "lock" the suspension, leading to unpredictable handling and potential bar failure.
- ❌ Directional Indexing: If this bar is pre-stressed, it is critical to install it in the correct orientation for the specific corner of the car (LF or RR). Installing a pre-stressed bar "backward" will cause it to lose its rate and sag almost immediately.
