Torsion Bar - Dirt Modified - 29" Long - Solid - 1.000 Rate - Right Rear
Performance & Fitment
Application: Dirt Modified (Big Block/Small Block)
Position: Right Rear (RR)
Rate: 1.000 (1 inch diameter)
Length: 29”
Tuning Profile: The 1.000" is the ultimate solid bar for the Right Rear. It is designed to virtually eliminate excessive body roll in the most extreme traction conditions. This bar ensures that the right rear tire is loaded instantly and the chassis remains level, preventing "frame dragging" and maintaining optimal suspension geometry through the apex and exit.
Material: Manufactured from high-strength, heat-treated aircraft-grade alloy steel for maximum torsional resistance and fatigue life.
Centerless Ground: Precision-ground to a perfect 1.000" diameter. This eliminates surface imperfections and ensures a 100% consistent spring rate, which is vital when managing the extreme loads of a 1.000-rated bar.
Heat Treatment: Through-hardened and pre-stressed to optimize "memory" retention. This prevents the bar from "taking a set" or sagging under the immense pressure of a heavy Modified feature.
Finish: Industrial-grade powder coating provides a barrier against the abrasive and corrosive nature of track clay and moisture.
Spline Fit: Precision-machined ends ensure a tight, no-slop interface with standard 29" torsion arms and stops.
❌ Maximum Tube Clearance Issues: At a full 1.000" diameter, this bar occupies the maximum space inside a standard torsion tube. Your torsion tubes must be perfectly straight and surgically clean. Any internal rust, dirt, or a slight chassis tweak will cause the bar to bind. A binding 1.000" bar will result in a "zero-travel" rear suspension, causing the car to bounce uncontrollably or slide.
❌ Shock Valving Necessity: The rebound force of a 1.000" bar is immense. You must use a shock with high-speed rebound valving specifically tuned for a 1" bar. Without proper damping, the rear of the car will "pogo," losing tire contact and traction on corner exit.
❌ Torsion Arm Stress: This bar applies massive torque to your hardware. Inspect your torsion arm splines for any signs of "egging" or rounding. Standard or worn aluminum arms may shear or strip under the loads generated by a 1.000" bar on the Right Rear.
❌ Length Check: This is a 29" tip-to-tip bar. It is not compatible with Northeast Modifieds or Sprint Cars that require 30" or 31" lengths.
- ❌ Indexing & Twist: Because of the stiffness, if this bar ever experiences a permanent "twist" after an impact, it will drastically alter your corner weights. Always check the index of a 1.000" bar after any significant on-track incident.

⚠️ Critical Fitment Exceptions
A 1.000" bar is a "tuning sledgehammer." Before installation, verify your setup against these critical points:
