TORSION BAR – DIRT MODIFIED – 29" LONG – SOLID – .925 RATE – RIGHT REAR
Performance & Fitment
Application: Dirt Modified Race Cars
Position: Right Rear (RR)
Rate: 0.925
Diameter: 0.925"
Length: 29”
Tuning Profile: The 0.925" rate is a stiffening option for the Right Rear. It is ideal for heavy track conditions where a softer bar would allow the car to "over-roll," causing the chassis to bottom out or lose drive. This bar keeps the RR platform stable, ensuring maximum power delivery to the ground.
Material: Manufactured from solid high-strength alloy steel for superior torsional resilience and long-term durability.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to a strict 0.925" diameter. This ensures a perfectly consistent spring rate, allowing you to make predictable setup changes at the track.
Heat Treatment: Through-hardened and pre-stressed to optimize "memory" retention. This process prevents the bar from sagging or "taking a set" even after high-stress racing cycles.
Spline Finish: Precision-machined splines ensure a tight, no-slop interface with your torsion arms and stops, providing immediate suspension response.
❌ Chassis Length Check: This is a 29" tip-to-tip bar. It is designed for standard Dirt Modified chassis and will not fit Sprint Cars or Mini Sprints that utilize 26" or 30"+ bars.
❌ Position Specificity: While this bar is 29", a 0.925 rate is a specific tuning choice. If you are replacing a softer bar (e.g., a .900), ensure your shock valving can handle the increased spring frequency to avoid a "skating" sensation on corner exit.
❌ Tube Clearance: Ensure your chassis torsion tubes are perfectly straight and free of internal debris. At 0.925", the clearance is reduced; any internal binding will "lock" the suspension and lead to erratic handling.
❌ Spline Wear: Never install a new bar into worn or "egged out" torsion arms. High-torque loads on the RR will quickly strip damaged splines, leading to a catastrophic failure mid-race.
- ❌ Indexing: Always check the bar for "twist" after a heavy impact. A bar that has been over-torqued will lose its original index, making it impossible to accurately set your corner weights.
