    To ensure safety and peak performance, verify your setup against these common pitfalls:

  • ❌ Left vs. Right Specificity: While this bar is 29", it is rated at .925 specifically for Left Rear tuning strategies. Swapping this with a Right Rear bar of a different rate without adjusting your cross-weight will drastically alter the car's exit handling.

  • ❌ Length Requirements: This is a 29" bar. It is not compatible with chassis designed for 30" or 31" bars commonly found in some newer Northeast Modified designs or Sprint Cars.

  • ❌ Torsion Tube Maintenance: Ensure the internal torsion tube is clear of mud, rust, and debris. At a 0.925" diameter, any internal obstruction can cause the bar to bind, creating an effective "solid" suspension that will cause the car to bounce or slide uncontrollably.

  • ❌ Indexing & Timing: Always check the bar's index after a heavy impact. Even high-strength steel can twist under extreme stress; a "twisted" bar will ruin your corner weights and chassis timing.

  • ❌ Spline Mismatch: Ensure your torsion arms are not worn. A 0.925" bar generates significant torque; any play in the splines will lead to rapid wear and potential failure of the bar ends.
