TORSION BAR – DIRT MODIFIED – 29" LONG – SOLID – .900 RATE – RIGHT REAR
Performance & Fitment
Application: Dirt Modified (Big Block/Small Block)
Position: Right Rear (RR)
Rate: 0.900
Diameter: 0.900"
Length: 29”
Tuning Profile: The 0.900" rate is a staple for Modified racers looking for a balanced rear setup. In the Right Rear position, this bar helps control chassis roll and provides a consistent "load" to the tire, improving traction on tracks ranging from slick-to-tacky to medium-heavy.
Material: Manufactured from solid high-strength alloy steel for maximum torsional fatigue resistance and long-term durability.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to a strict 0.900" diameter. This ensures an exact, repeatable spring rate, allowing you to trust your chassis adjustments when swapping bars between heats.
Heat Treatment: Through-hardened and pre-stressed to maintain "memory" retention. This process prevents the bar from "taking a set" or sagging, ensuring your ride height remains consistent throughout a multi-day event.
Spline Integrity: Precision-machined splines provide a tight, zero-play fit with torsion arms and stops, ensuring the driver feels every adjustment and track change.
❌ Incorrect Chassis Length: This is a 29" tip-to-tip bar. It is designed for standard Dirt Modified chassis and will not fit Sprint Cars or Mini Sprints that utilize 26" or 30"+ bars.
❌ Position Specificity: While this bar can physically fit other corners, it is specifically rated and indexed for Right Rear loads. Using a bar with an incorrect rate for the Left Rear can cause the car to "bicycle" or fail to rotate in the center of the corner.
❌ Binding Hazards: Ensure your chassis torsion tubes are clean, greased, and perfectly straight. A 0.900" bar has a specific clearance profile; any internal binding or contact with the tube wall will create an "infinite" spring rate, leading to unpredictable handling and potential bar failure.
- ❌ Spline Wear: Never install a high-performance bar into worn or "egged out" torsion arms. Mismatched or sloppy splines will rapidly degrade the bar’s ends, leading to stripped splines under high-torque racing loads.
