Torsion Bar – Mini Sprint – 26" Long – Solid – 0.800" Dia
Performance & Fitment
Application: Mini Sprint Race Cars
Length: 26”
Diameter: 0.800”
Tuning Profile: The 0.800" bar is among the stiffest solid bars available for Mini Sprints. It is specifically utilized on the Right Rear for "locked-down" tracks with massive bite, or on the Front Right for high-speed pavement racing where keeping the car level is the primary priority.
Chassis Compatibility: Precision-fit for all Mini Sprint chassis utilizing standard 26" torsion tubes.
Material: Manufactured from solid, high-strength alloy steel for maximum torsional strength and extreme durability.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to a strict 0.800" tolerance. This guarantees a consistent, repeatable spring rate, ensuring your chassis timing remains precise through every adjustment.
Heat Treatment: Through-hardened to optimize "memory" retention, preventing the bar from sagging or losing its index even under the most punishing racing conditions.
Spline Integrity: Features precision-machined splines for a high-tolerance, zero-play interface with torsion arms and stops, ensuring immediate suspension response to driver input.
❌ Incorrect Chassis Length: This is a 26" tip-to-tip bar. It is not compatible with Micro Sprints requiring 23" bars or full-size Sprint Cars (360/410) that require 30" lengths.
❌ Maximum Binding Risk: At 0.800", this bar occupies the maximum volume inside a standard torsion tube. It is absolutely vital that your chassis tubes are perfectly straight and free of any debris or rust. Any contact with the internal wall will "lock" the suspension, resulting in dangerously unpredictable handling.
❌ Solid vs. Tubular Rates: A 0.800" solid bar provides a significantly higher spring rate than a 0.800" tubular bar. Ensure your shock valving is sufficient to control the increased spring frequency to prevent the car from "skating" across the track surface.
- ❌ Component Stress: Given the massive torque loads generated by an 0.800" bar, inspect your torsion arms and stops for any signs of wear or "egging out." The stresses involved can easily shear worn splines or damage lightweight aluminum arms.
