Torsion Bar – Mini Sprint – 26" Long – Solid – 0.700" Dia
Performance & Fitment
Application: Mini Sprint Race Cars
Length: 26”
Diameter: 0.700”
Tuning Profile: The 0.700" bar is considered a "heavy" rate in the Mini Sprint world. It is a go-to choice for the Right Rear on heavy, "hooked-up" dirt tracks or for the Front on high-banked tracks where you need to prevent the nose from diving and dragging.
Chassis Compatibility: Precision-engineered to fit all Mini Sprint chassis utilizing standard 26" torsion tubes.
Material: Manufactured from solid high-strength alloy steel, specifically chosen for its high torsional yield point.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to a strict 0.700" tolerance. This ensures an exact, repeatable spring rate so your car reacts the same way every time you swap bars.
Heat Treatment: Through-hardened to optimize "memory" retention. This prevents the bar from "taking a set" (dropping the ride height) after high-load cornering cycles.
Spline Integrity: Features precision-machined splines for a tight, slop-free fit with torsion arms and stops, ensuring immediate suspension response to driver input.
❌ Incorrect Chassis Length: This is a 26" tip-to-tip bar. It will not fit Micro Sprints requiring 23" bars or full-size Sprint Cars (360/410) that typically require 30" lengths.
❌ Tube Binding: Because the 0.700" bar is physically thicker than lighter bars, it is even more critical that your chassis torsion tubes are straight. Any contact between the bar and the tube wall will cause the suspension to "lock," leading to a dangerously loose or bouncy car.
❌ Rate Overshoot: A 0.700" solid bar provides a significantly higher spring rate than a 0.700" tubular bar. If you are switching from tubular to solid, be prepared to adjust your shock damping to prevent the car from feeling "skittish."
- ❌ Maintenance: Always check the bar for "twist" (indexing) after a crash. Even high-strength steel can be permanently deformed by a heavy impact, which will ruin your chassis timing and cross-weight.
