Torsion Bar – Mini Sprint – 26" Long – Solid – 0.675" Dia
Performance & Fitment
Application: Mini Sprint Race Cars
Length: 26”
Diameter: 0.675”
Tuning Profile: The 0.675" diameter is a "step up" in stiffness from the common 0.650" bar. It is frequently utilized on the Right Rear to help the car "hook up" on tacky tracks or on the Front Right to keep the nose flatter during high-speed cornering.
Chassis Compatibility: Precision-fit for all Mini Sprint chassis designed for standard 26" torsion tubes.
Material: Manufactured from solid high-strength alloy steel for maximum durability and high torsional fatigue resistance.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to a strict 0.675" tolerance. This ensures that every bar produced has the exact same rate, allowing you to swap bars at the track with total confidence in your setup changes.
Heat Treatment: Through-hardened to optimize "memory" retention, ensuring the bar resists sagging or "taking a set" even after a full season of racing.
Spline Integrity: Precision-machined splines provide a tight, zero-play interface with your torsion arms and stops, preventing mechanical slop that can "numb" the driver's feel.
❌ Incorrect Chassis Length: This is a 26" tip-to-tip bar. It is not compatible with Micro Sprints requiring 23" bars or full-sized Sprints (360/410) requiring 30" lengths.
❌ Tube Binding: Verify that your chassis torsion tubes are perfectly straight. Even a minor dent in the tube can cause the 0.675" bar to bind, creating an erratic, "locked" suspension feel that can cause the car to snap-oversteer.
❌ Solid vs. Tubular Rates: Remember that a 0.675" solid bar is significantly stiffer than a 0.675" tubular bar. If you are transitioning from tubular to solid, you will likely need to adjust your shock valving to compensate for the increased spring frequency.
- ❌ Spline Mismatch: Ensure your torsion arms are not "egged out" or worn. Putting a new 26675 bar into worn arms will lead to premature spline failure on the bar itself.
