⚠️ Critical Fitment Exceptions
Even if you are running a 930-style setup, ensure your vehicle does not fall under these exceptions:
❌ Standard VW Drivetrains: This set is designed for the 28-spline 930 configuration. It is not compatible with standard 33-spline Volkswagen Type 1 (Bug) or Type 2 (Bus/091) CV joints.
❌ Width Verification: At 22.5", this is an exceptionally long axle. You must verify your flange-to-flange measurement at the suspension's narrowest point. If the axle is even slightly too long for your track width, it will bottom out and cause catastrophic damage to the CV cages or the transaxle case.
❌ Component Match: Verify that your CV joint "stars" are designed for a 1.220" outer diameter. Mismatched tolerances can lead to excessive play or prevent the "floating" action required to protect the cages.
