⚠️ Critical Fitment Exceptions

Even if you are utilizing a 930-style drivetrain, ensure your setup does not fall under these exceptions:

• ❌ Standard VW Components: This axle features the 28-tooth Porsche spline configuration. It is not compatible with standard 33-spline Volkswagen Type 1 (Bug) or Type 2 (Bus) CV joints.

• ❌ Compression Measurement: Because this is an extra-long axle, it is critical to measure your flange-to-flange distance when the suspension is at its narrowest point. If the 20 1/4" length is even slightly too long, the axle will bottom out in the CV cup and cause catastrophic failure to the cage or transaxle housing.

• ❌ Spline Diameter Check: This axle is designed for a 1.220" outer diameter spline. Verify that your aftermarket CV joint "stars" match this diameter; mismatched tolerances can lead to excessive spline wear or assembly interference.
