Torsion Bar – Micro Sprint – 23" Long – Solid – 0.730 Dia
Performance & Fitment
Application: Micro Sprint Race Cars
Length: 23”
Diameter: 0.730”
Tuning Profile: The 0.730" is a heavy-rate bar, typically used as the primary "load-bearing" spring on the Right Rear or to significantly stiffen the front end. It is designed for tracks with high "bite" where preventing chassis roll and maintaining aerodynamic platform stability is critical.
Chassis Compatibility: Fits standard Micro Sprint chassis (Hyper, Sawyer, Factor 1, PMP, etc.) utilizing a 23" torsion tube.
Material: Solid high-strength alloy steel for maximum durability and torsional resilience.
Precision Manufacturing: Centerless ground to a precise 0.730" diameter to ensure an exact, repeatable spring rate that won't vary between bars.
Heat Treatment: Through-hardened to optimize "memory" retention, preventing the bar from sagging even under the extreme loads generated by its high spring rate.
Splines: Precision-machined ends ensure a tight, secure interface with torsion arms and stops to prevent stripping or mechanical slop.
❌ Incorrect Tube Length: This bar is exactly 23" long tip-to-tip. It will not fit chassis specifically designed for "short" bars (19"–21") or larger Midget/Lightning Sprints that require 26" or 30" bars.
❌ Internal Tube Binding: Because this bar is ground to exact tolerances, any internal rust, debris, or structural bends in the chassis torsion tube will cause binding. A binding bar creates an effectively "infinite" spring rate, leading to unpredictable and dangerous handling.
- ❌ Component Wear: The extreme torque loads generated by a 0.730" bar require torsion arms and stops to be in excellent condition. Ensure your hardware matches the standard spline count; using worn or low-quality components with a bar this stiff will likely result in stripped splines during high-load cornering.
