• • Material: Forged from solid 4340 aircraft-grade alloy steel to handle the extreme torque and leverage produced by high-horsepower engines and oversized off-road tires.

  • Floating Spline Design: By eliminating the inboard shoulder, the CV joint can "float" along the 2 3/8" spline. This is critical for long-travel cars, as the distance between the transaxle and the hub changes dramatically as the suspension cycles.

  • CV Protection: The floating design prevents the axle from "punching" the CV cage at full compression, which is the leading cause of CV joint failure in off-road racing.

  • Heat Treatment: Through-hardened and shot-peened for a superior balance of surface hardness and torsional flexibility.

  • Finish: Centerless ground for a perfectly consistent diameter and powder-coated for maximum corrosion resistance against sand and moisture.

⚠️ Critical Installation & Setup Notes

• Precision Measurement Required: At 18 3/4", these axles are extremely long. You must cycle your suspension from full "droop" (hang) to full compression (bump) with the shocks removed to ensure the axle does not bottom out. An axle that is too long will act like a hammer against your transaxle internals.

• CV Boot Selection: Because these axles are designed for extreme travel, standard rubber boots will likely tear. We recommend high-performance silicone or "leather" boots designed for high-articulation use.

• Lubrication: Use a high-quality, high-moly content CV grease. The "floating" action requires the splines to stay lubricated to prevent the CV joint from binding or "notching" the axle over time.
