Sway-A-Way’s high-performance truck torsion bars are designed for modified trucks and SUV’s. Manufactured from alloy steel and engineered to provide a 10% increase in rate over stock. These torsion bars are perfect for eliminating hard bottoming when off-roading or towing heavy loads, improving vehicle handling, and providing a more consistent spring rate. Unique to Sway-A-Way’s 1762 & 1763 and 1782  torsion bars, designed for Chevrolet/GM trucks, Safari and SUV’s, is the splined end. The bars maintain the hex end at the A-Arm side of the vehicle but replace the adjuster side with a new splined key. The bars splined end slides into the splined key and allows for virtually infinite adjustment of ride height using the factory adjuster bolt. Splined keys are included with all 1762 and 1763 and 1782  torsion bar sets. Manufactured from solid alloy steel, heat treated for increased strength and Centerless ground for consistent outside diameter and spring rate. Powder coated to resist corrosion.Sway-A-Way recommends you check your stock torsion bars length to ensure proper fitment before purchasing these torsion bars.

Note:

This kit is designed so that you do not have to do any cutting on the cross member.

It is a bolt on kit. The spring rate is about 10% higher than the stock torsion bars. There are two different length torsion bars that were used in these vehicles. This kit replaces both lengths.
