⚠️ Critical Fitment Exceptions
Even if your car falls into the year ranges above, you must ensure it does not fall under these exceptions:
❌ 1987–1989 Porsche 911 (G50): This SKU will not fit the later G50-equipped 911s. Those models utilize a significantly longer torsion bar (approx. 26") and different spline configurations.
❌ Post-1959 VW Beetle: These 24 11/16" bars are specific to the early "short-bar" Swing Axle era. 1960–1968 Beetles transitioned to a 26 11/16" bar, while 1969+ IRS models moved to 21 3/4" bars.
❌ Performance Note: A 22mm bar is a standard replacement for many early Porsche models. If you are building a track-oriented 911 or a high-horsepower VW, you may require a larger diameter (24mm–26mm) to handle the increased cornering loads.
