⚠️ Critical Fitment Exceptions

Even if your car falls into the year ranges above, you must ensure it does not fall under these exceptions:

• ❌ Pre-1969 Swing Axle: These 21 3/4" bars are designed strictly for IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) vehicles. Most 1968 and older "Swing Axle" Beetles require the significantly longer 26 11/16” bars.

• ❌ Extreme Stiffness Warning: A 29mm bar is roughly 120% stiffer than a factory 23.5mm bar. This will result in an incredibly rigid ride; it is NOT recommended for standard street use or daily drivers without significant weight additions (e.g., heavy engine swaps).

• ❌ Spline Integrity: Due to the extreme spring rate, ensure your inner torsion housing and outer spring plates are in perfect condition. Worn splines are prone to stripping under the high tension these bars provide.
